Brigadier General Md. Mahbubul Haque, ndc, afwc, psc (Retired), was born on 22 July 1964 into a respected and modest Muslim family. He graduated from the Bangladesh Military Academy and was commissioned into the Corps of Infantry of the Bangladesh Army on 21 December 1984.

Over a distinguished military career spanning nearly 34 years, he has held a wide range of command, instructional, diplomatic, and staff appointments, and has made substantial contributions to national security, military education, and strategic research.
