About the club

Bangladesh University Sports Club was established in 2011 as a structured, multi-sport organisation. The club fields teams in cricket, football and badminton, and has built a strong record of competitive achievement.

It emphasises talent development, blending national-level athletes with university students to build high-performance teams. Five Bangladesh University students are active national-team cricketers, making BU one of the most prolific nurseries of cricket talent among Bangladeshi universities. Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto recently led Bangladesh to a landmark Test win on Australian soil.
