Upcoming Study Tour to Bangladesh National Herbarium

We are pleased to announce that the students and faculty members of the Department of Pharmacy, Bangladesh University will go on a study tour to the Bangladesh National Herbarium on November 11, 2026.

This educational visit holds great significance for our students as future pharmaceutical professionals. The National Herbarium preserves an invaluable collection of medicinal plants that form the foundation of traditional and modern therapeutic practices. Through this tour, students will gain hands-on exposure to:

✅ Medicinal plant identification and classification
✅ Understanding botanical characteristics used in pharmacognosy
✅ Insights into how herbs contribute to drug discovery and formulation
✅ The importance of biodiversity and conservation for sustainable healthcare

Herbal knowledge has been at the root of medical science for centuries. Even today, many modern drugs originate from plant-derived compounds. By deepening our understanding of these natural resources, we strengthen our connection to scientific innovation, cultural heritage, and public health enhancement.

We look forward to an enriching learning experience that will inspire curiosity, research enthusiasm, and a deeper appreciation for the power of nature in medicine. ??

Let knowledge grow — just like the herbs that heal.
